Legend has it that this region of Konkan was abode of 'Parashuram' elevating the region to the status of Parashuram Bhoomi. The statue of Parashuram overlooking the shores of Ladghar is located on the way to Dabhol from Ladghar and is a must visit during your stay at Ladghar.
Of all the beaches Ladghar also called 'Tamas Theertha' where "The Sea Face" is located is known to be the best place to watch the setting sun thanks to the multitude shades of red that spreads over the horizon at Ladghar.
Ladghar is a small stretch of beach with a hillock on the northern end. Dutta Mandir is located atop the hillock. Ladghar extends on to Burundi to its south.
Ladghar beach extends to Karde beach and Murud Harnai seperated only by couple of rocky stretches to its north. People even commute on two wheelers between these beaches over the rocky patches. On a two wheeler Murud Harnai is hardly a 10 minutes ride and for the adventurous its an unforgetable ride!
Dolphin watch sea rides and parasailing on the beach is very popular in Ladghar and water sports facility is also available at Ladghar.
Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth is on the way to Ladghar from Dapoli where you can purchase seeds and other farm products.
